Friends Status Terms of Service

Effective date: August 26, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Friends Status (also described as Friends Calendar), its related API routes, and its Discord, Steam, and Google Calendar integrations (together, the “Service”).

The Service is operated by Maksim Dmitrievich Stashkevich, a self-employed individual registered in the Republic of Belarus (the “Operator,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service or connect an external account.

1. The Service

Friends Status combines configured work schedules with information obtained from supported services such as Discord, Steam, and Google Calendar to display current status and a recent activity timeline.

Friends Status pages may be publicly accessible to anyone with or discovering the relevant URL.

These Terms govern only the Friends Status feature. Commercial IT services offered through stkv.by are governed by the Russian-language Public Offer and related commercial documents.

2. Eligibility and authority

You must have legal capacity to accept these Terms under applicable law.

If you connect a Google, Discord, Steam, or other third-party account, you represent that:

  • the account belongs to you or you are expressly authorized by its owner;
  • you have authority to grant the requested permissions;
  • connecting the account and displaying the resulting information does not violate law, confidentiality obligations, employment rules, or third-party rights.

You must not connect another person’s account without their informed permission.

3. Google Calendar connection

The Google Calendar integration requests read-only access using the calendar.readonly scope.

It reads information from the connected account’s primary calendar for the purpose of displaying current and recent calendar activity in Friends Status.

Before connecting a calendar, review the Privacy Policy, especially the section describing public display of event information.

By completing Google authorization, you instruct us to process and display the event title, time, color, and derived status for the selected Friends Status profile.

Do not connect a calendar containing information that should remain confidential or private.

You may revoke Google access through Google Account permissions and may request deletion of stored connection data by emailing [email protected].

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • access or use the Service in violation of applicable law;
  • attempt to obtain unauthorized access to accounts, servers, APIs, tokens, or data;
  • interfere with the security, availability, or normal operation of the Service;
  • scrape, overload, probe, reverse engineer, or circumvent technical restrictions except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • use the Service to stalk, harass, threaten, deceive, or monitor another person without authorization;
  • connect accounts or publish information that you are not entitled to use;
  • introduce malware, automated abuse, or harmful code;
  • misrepresent your identity or your authority to act for another person.

We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, third parties, the Operator, or the Service.

5. Third-party services

The Service depends in part on third-party platforms, including Google Calendar, Discord, Steam, hosting providers, and internet infrastructure.

Your use of those platforms remains subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not control and are not responsible for changes, outages, restrictions, inaccuracies, account actions, or discontinued functionality caused by third-party services.

Google may revoke or limit API access, and you may revoke your authorization at any time.

6. Availability and accuracy

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.

Status information may be delayed, incomplete, stale, unavailable, or inaccurate because it depends on polling intervals, network conditions, API availability, privacy settings, account permissions, time-zone conversion, and third-party data.

Calendar synchronization generally occurs approximately every two minutes while the integration is in use, but this interval is not guaranteed.

The Service must not be used as the sole basis for safety-critical, medical, legal, employment, financial, emergency, or other high-risk decisions.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service when reasonably necessary.

7. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the Service, its original software, design, text, graphics, and branding are owned by or licensed to the Operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Website content may be subject to the license described on the Copyright page.

Third-party names, trademarks, logos, and data remain the property of their respective owners.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Service or third-party materials to you.

8. Privacy

Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

The Privacy Policy explains how the Service accesses, uses, stores, discloses, and deletes Google user data and other information.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and accuracy.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of data, reputational harm, or damage resulting from reliance on status information or from third-party services.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount required by applicable law.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from intentional misconduct where applicable.

11. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to compensate the Operator for reasonable losses, liabilities, and expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the Service, unauthorized connection of an account, infringement of third-party rights, or material breach of these Terms.

This section does not apply where prohibited by consumer-protection law.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time.

You may revoke connected third-party access through the relevant provider and request deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access without prior notice where reasonably necessary to address security risk, unlawful conduct, third-party requirements, technical failure, or a material breach of these Terms.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and accrued rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, third-party requirements, or applicable law.

The revised Terms become effective when posted on this page unless a later effective date is specified.

If a change materially affects connected Google user data, we will update the relevant disclosure before applying the changed practice and request additional authorization where required.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Belarus, without prejudice to mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and make a reasonable attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

If a dispute cannot be resolved, it will be submitted to a competent court in the Republic of Belarus unless mandatory law requires another forum.

15. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable separate agreement, constitute the agreement governing your use of the relevant Service functionality.
